JOD was started in 2012 and is published by SpringerOpen from 2016. The editorial work is organized by the Editor(s)-in-Chief, a number of Associate Editors (currently seven) and an Editorial Board consisting of twenty eight people. The Editorial Board consists of very active reviewers. The Editor-in-Chief appoints the editorial team.
Journal of Organization Design (JOD) is an official publication of the Organizational Design Community, a worldwide community of scholars, executives, and organizations dedicated to advancing the theory and practice of organization design.
The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to the field of organization design, and will have made significant scholarly contributions to the field. Consistent with the mission of the ODC, the editor of JOD will work to build visibility for work in the field and will seek to build bridges between theory and practice.
Nominations may be sent to Tim Carroll (email@example.com) by January 15, 2017. The term will begin approximately September 1, 2017.
As part of our business plan for 2016, the Board have agreed to establish a UK registered Charity to take forward the work of EODF. This will help ensure all the funds we generate from members, courses and events can be channeled into our non-profit purposes of advancing the field and practice of organisation design. The working title for the charity is the ‘Institute of Organisation Design,’ We are looking for people who would be willing to volunteer as charity trustees to serve on the new charity board, alongside 3 existing EODF Board members [chair, co-chair and treasurer]. We will aim to have one annual Trustees face to face meeting – probably at the annual conference as well as a couple of virtual meetings each year. Your role would be to help shape and guide the charity’s development and use of resources in line with its aims in supporting the EODF mission.
Please don’t hesitate to contact Alastair Mitchell-Baker, our Treasurer, at firstname.lastname@example.org if you are interested.

Organisation design projects and transformation projects move slowly. They are often hampered by inaccurate information, politics and complexity.
Designing Organisations Using Data is a new 2-day course that will explain the practical steps you need to take to assemble the data and use it for workforce planning, process design and structural choices.
Led by Andrew Campbell and Rupert Morrison, the course will show you how to access the HR information you already have to help you make faster and less political decisions about structure, people and processes.
The course is suitable for organisation design professionals, HR Business Partners and Consultants.
Please contact Ravinder Lidder +44 (0)20 7681 6422 to reserve a place.
