The theme for our 2018 EODF annual conference is Designing for Business Ecosystems. With this topic, we would like to open our perspectives on Organisations and see them in their interactions and connections with their closer and wider circle of Customers and Partners. We invite you to bring your cases, be it solved or currently in progress of transformation, so we can explore together what we mean by Business Ecosystems and how we can best support them with knowledge and experience of Europe’s 100 top managers, HR Business partners and internal and external consultants of the field. All industries are fast changing due to the digital revolution and the real market differentiator can be the speed your company gets into making the most of its advantages.
There are three #subtopics. We are curious to discover how the changing nature of #connectivity, as technology is unbounding and reconnecting players, has an effect on work and creates new possibilities for Business Ecosystems to thrive, how #digitalisation and automation create a sustainable human and AI Ecosystem, and how #platforms simultaneously enable and support Ecosystems.
You can learn from and get inspired by a selected number of Keynote speakers while they share their journey, struggles and successes on the road of this transformation. We will create learning opportunities, where you can discuss more in depth the way others changed their mindsets and everyday routines to step into and harvest the opportunities the digitalised world offers us. As a tradition, a large part of our conference is Open Space – where you can post your current issues, questions and have a group of experienced and highly professional people with a diverse background work on the solutions.
Bring your thoughts, questions, cases, doubts and let’s have a great conference again!
Elvira Kalmar, The EODF 18 Conference Dean
Our mission is to build and advance the community, practice, and strategic role of Organisation Design since 2010. We rotate our conference each year to a new EU country to build membership and generate interest in the topic.
Since 2015, we offer learning programs as a pre-conference opportunity to explore one topic in depth, with leaders in the field of Organisation Design. Choose the workshop which suits best your learning needs:

Budapest, the capital of Hungary, can be a sweet surprise for any traveler. Many of us know about the beautiful Danube river, the fabulous architecture, the World Heritage Buda Castle, which by the way is only 10 minutes walk from our venue.
But Budapest can offer so much more! Get panoramic views from the city centre (the Budapest Eye) or from the hills of Buda (the Zugliget Chairlift)! New and upcoming art galleries and design stores, baths and spas, ruin pubs, escape rooms, flea markets, natural caves, and of course there is the food. You MUST try the food!
Read on our blog more information about Budapest and how you can make best of your trip.
Our annual conference moves around Europe to places where there is a thirst for knowledge about the field of organisation design combined with the energy of a local organising team. By using these criteria, our conference has now been to the UK, Switzerland, Austria, The Netherlands, Italy, Spain and Germany. And this year we have landed in Hungary.
